Why Every Christian Need Christian Life Update-Part 3
1 John 3 ; 8a “He that committeth sin is of the devil”. The devil will make claim over your soul if there is sin of any kind in your life as a church member, church worker, or gospel minister.
Hebrews 12 ; 14 “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the lord”. The devil knows that the condition for us entering into the kingdom of God is by us possessing the holiness and righteousness of God. He knows that God is holy and that heaven is a holy place. He also knows that any one (a Christian) who doesn’t possess the holiness of God belong to him. And so the devil will make claim on the soul of any Christian who refused to believe the totality of the word of God and consecrated himself to possess the holiness and righteousness of God in practical terms in his life.
1 John 2 ; 15-17 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever”. The bible said the devil is the god of this world (the system of it, the doings, pride, fame, popularity and high position that people seek after and the ungodliness it etc) 2 Corinthians 4; 4. Jesus Christ also said we are not of this world in John 17 ; 16, 17. And in James 4 ; 4b the bible said whoever is a friend of the world, is the enemy of God. The devil will make claim on the soul of any Christian that give his spirit, soul and body to love the world. Worldliness in the heart and body of a Christian will give satan the right over his soul.
What has been written in the scriptures has been written and cannot be change for anyone. And so if your life doesn’t match up with what has been written that reveal God standard for you to attain to qualify for heaven, then the devil will make claim over your soul that you belong to him because God must stand by His word. And God Himself cannot accept you into His kingdom because you have defiled yourself by not living to the standard of His word. You have become unholy, unrighteous, ungodly and unfit for heaven. Psalm 119 ; 89 “Forever O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven”. 1 Peter 1 ; 23 “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever”. Vs 25 “But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you”. And the emphasis is doing the will of God.
As a child of God who desire to go to heaven, doing the will of God is not an option. Jesus Christ in His teaching drew the conclusion of those Christians that will enter into the kingdom of God as those that “ doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven”. Matthew 7 ; 21b. And in John 2 ; 17b, “But he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever (in heaven)”. We can see very clearly that doing the will of God as Christians give us the right into the kingdom of God. And not doing the will of God as Christians leads to hell.
The will of God is the totality of the word of God. The will of God is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. And to believe on Jesus is to live your life by the word of God. The will of God therefore is to live your life by every word of God. Every instruction and command that God has given to us in the scriptures is the will of God which demand our full obedience. Carrying out those instructions and commands is doing the will of God.
Therefore, obeying, practising and demonstrating by our life the totality of the word of God is doing the will of the Father which is in heaven and this will give us entrance into His kingdom. 2 peter 1 ; 1—11.
