Why Every Christian Need Christian Life Update-Part1
Regular spiritual check up of our Christian life is necessary to determine how healthy we are spiritually as a Christian because unhealthy spiritual life will disqualify a person from heaven.
To make heaven, you must be whole spiritually. To be healthy spiritually means you must be free from sin and your life must conform to the totality of the word of God. Jesus Christ came to set us free from the power and dominion of sin and He taught that we must be free from sin. In John 5 ; 14, Jesus Christ said “sin no more”. And in John 8 ; 11, He said “go and sin no more”. Freedom from sin is the victory of the Christian. Sin brings a man under bondage to Satan and drags the soul to hell.
Romans 6 ; 18, “Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness”. No servants of sin will enter into the kingdom of God but only those who possess and practice God righteousness. Verse 19b, “for as ye have yielded your members (spirit, soul and body) servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness”. 1 John 5 ; 18, “We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself(from sin), and that wicked one toucheth him not(cannot make claim over his soul).
Sin makes a Christian sick spiritually and expose to Satan and hell. If you are not spiritually healthy in your soul, spirit and body you cannot make heaven. Even the devil will drag your soul at death because the things that make you sick spiritually belong to him and he will come for his own. And in the rapture of the saints you will not be able to hear the sound of the trumpets because you are not tune in to God in holiness and righteousness and therefore you miss the rapture and face the wrath of the antichrist.
Things like bitterness, anger, hatred, malice, grudge, unforgiving spirit, pride, immorality of any kind, ungodliness, unrighteousness, etc are spiritual viruses that make a Christian sick spiritually ( unfit for heaven) and also make him belong to the devil. 1 John 3 ; 8, John 6 ; 48, Galatians 5 ; 19-21, 1 Corinthians 6 ; 9, 10, Romans 1 ; 29- 32. Ephesians 4 ; 17-32.
Jesus Christ said the things that come from within a man (man and woman) that defile him, (disqualify him from heaven ) and brings spiritual sickness(bondage, quilt and condemnation) into his soul, spirit, body and thereby make him unfit for heaven. Mark 7 ; 21-23
Regularly updating our Christian life, enables us to get rid of all ungodliness and unrighteousness from our life so that we can stand a wholesome Christian, pure in heart, holy and righteous before God and ready for heaven at rapture or at death, and the devil will not be able to make any claim over our soul because none of his viruses are in us anymore.
