The single purpose Jesus Christ came to this world to suffer, died on the cross, buried, rose again the third day and ascended into heaven is to save us from our sins and make us ready to leave with Him eternally in His Kingdom.
Almost all the teachings and preaching of Jesus Christ were centred on the qualifications for making heaven.
Matthew 4 : 17, “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Mark 1 : 14, 15, “Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God, and saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
After His resurrection, Jesus Christ still continued to speak about the kingdom of heaven showing to us what our concentration should be in life- Preparation for heaven.
Acts 1 : 3, “To whom also He shewed Himself alive after His passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.”
In Jesus Christ, everything was about the kingdom of God as that is the most important thing of our existence in this world. If God is so concerned about us making heaven, we ourselves need to be much more concern that we do not miss it.
Jesus Christ said Christians who fail to live to the standard of God as revealed in the Bible will not make it to Heaven.
Matthew 7 : 21, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Read verses 22-29.
Matthew 18 : 3, “And said, verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 22 : 14, “For many are called, but few are chosen.”
Luke 13 : 23, 24, “Then said one unto Him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And He said unto them, strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.”
